Andrea Pantoja

– Principal Physiotherapist

Hi! I’m Andrea, and I can honestly tell you I love my job. I’m 100% dedicated to helping people live their lives.

Here’s a little more about me:

I have over 10 years experience in treating musculoskeletal and orthopaedic injuries. Having worked in sports medicine clinics, and having been an elite Rhythmic Gymnast, exercise is my passion. I graduated from the University of Sydney in 2004 with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise & Sports Science) and in 2006 with a Master of Physiotherapy.

Since graduating I have worked in private practices and sports clinics in Sydney and Central London. I have worked in multidisciplinary sports medicine teams providing physiotherapy to elite and amateur athletes, as well as to the general community.

Through my experience I developed a close working relationship with Sports Physicians, Orthopaedic Surgeons, Allied Health and Trainers and Coaches.

Just some of the clinics I’ve worked in:

    • West London Physiotherapy, London
    • South Sydney Sports Medicine
    • Sydney Sports Focus, Sydney

I have also provided game day physiotherapy to elite Soccer and Rugby teams, as well as on site physiotherapy to the staff at Qantas Airlines (an experience that means I now travel light!). I have seen people from all walks of life, working with athletes from a variety of sports including rugby union, rugby league, soccer, cricket, netball, and gymnastics. To working with children and the elderly population. I realise everyone has goals to achieve, big or small, and these became goals I share with my patients.

I have an extensive experience in treating a range of injuries and I have a particular interest in treating lumbo-pelvic pain. I’ve suffered back pain myself. Training up to 40 hours per week, I sustained a stress fracture in my lumbar spine. It was during this time that I was introduced to core stability training, and was lead to Pilates and now Clinical Pilates. I continue teaching clinical Pilates to this day.

I focus on identifying abnormal movement patterns and using a combination of manual therapy, core stability and muscle retraining to correct and prevent further injury. Although I have packed up the leotards and gymnastics equipment, I keep myself fit by running and being a regular Pilates participant, and I can still back bend! And WITHOUT PAIN!

Nicole Gunzburg

–  Massage Therapist

Hi! I’m Nicole, and I’m passionate about helping people and their bodies’ perform optimally through life.

Here’s a little more about me:

By growing up around sport since a young age, it quickly became a passion of mine, particularly baseball and AFL. In later years, everything that comes with being an athlete, such as health, fitness and general wellbeing, has become a lifestyle that I thoroughly enjoy and that I wanted to pursue a career in.

I started studying a Bachelor of Science (Exercise and Sport Science) in 2013 at Edith Cowen University in Perth, which I have since graduated. Before the completion of my degree, I studied at the Australian Institute of Fitness (AIF) and graduated with a Certificate IV of Massage and a Diploma of Remedial Massage.

I have had experience working as a sports trainer and assistant strength and conditioning coach for amateur and Elite AFL clubs and have coached amateur women’s AFL and baseball teams. After graduating from AIF at the end of 2016, I started working as a Remedial Therapist at a Wellness Centre in Perth’s CBD alongside Physiotherapists and Chiropractors, which I was able to continue learning from. I was able to work with a variety of clients from artists and writers to businessmen, from elite rowers and AFL players to Ironman athletes, all across a large age spectrum.

Throughout my undergraduate degree I spent a lot of time travelling, with sport, socially and for education, which has all given me an insight into different cultures, personalities and environments and how to understand and approach them. I also experienced personal injuries, from broken fingers and shoulder impingements to a knee reconstruction, which has all introduced me to the ultimate importance of soft tissue treatment, extensive physical rehabilitation, body maintenance and mental health.

The above experiences have been great to learn and have taught me a lot that I can incorporate in my current work. It has allowed me to connect and relate to each client individually and work with a holistic approach. Whether it be a busy and stressful lifestyle, an injury, general discomfort or just body maintenance, I understand and I want to help!

Nicky Taylor

– Receptionist

Hi! I’m Nicky! Patient care and wellbeing is of utmost priority to me!

Here’s a little more about me:

Having worked as a Dental Nurse in a busy Macquarie Street Practice for many years before starting my family, patient care and wellbeing is of utmost priority to me!

My care and compassion can be demonstrated by my commitment to my community, having volunteered at Ronald McDonald House Randwick for many years.

I like to think I have a bubbly personality and can see the funny side of life’s little injuries too! I do my best to make everyone feel welcome here at Flow Physio.

When I am not at the Clinic or volunteering for charity, you’ll find me spending time with my family and friends, and walking my beloved dog Benji!

Nina Ferris

– Practice Manager

Hi! I’m Nina and making your time here at Flow Physio an enjoyable one is very important to me.

Here’s a little more about me:

I have been a Customer Service Specialist for, well, let’s just say for a while now!

I’ve spent time on a bike, hitting the pavement, in the water, touching opponents on the field, pointing my toes, punching and kicking the air and jumping off cliffs.

In between all that I have ventured about with a backpack seeing as much of this world as I can. So far I have 42 notches (countries) in my belt.

Life is now slowing down for me so I am interested to hear about all your sports, adventures (and injuries).

I have recently moved to Sydney and am happy to call Maroubra home. When I’m not at work I’m gazing at the ocean thinking about ways to ‘save the planet’. I’m also writing a soon to be published blog and drawing my favourite people.
